Dr. Pamela J. Haney became the sixth president of 冰碛谷社区学院 on July 1, 2023. She previously served as vice president for Academic Affairs, a position she assumed in 2012. Her leadership at Moraine Valley is committed to ensuring student success and accessibility, 推进创新, engaging our communities and supporting the mission of the college.

Prior to coming to Moraine Valley in 2001, Haney served as program administrator and assistant professor of Communication Arts at 无视 College, 无视, 俄亥俄州. Haney also taught as an assistant professor of Speech Communication at 诺福克 State University, 诺福克, 维吉尼亚州. 另外, she worked at the University of Nevada-Reno, where she served as the university’s ombudsman for faculty and staff. 在这个角色中, she worked impartially to seek resolution of problems in accordance with the Nevada System of Higher Education codes and policies. The scope of Haney’s career includes service and leadership in numerous roles. She serves on the Board of Directors for Women Employed, a nonprofit advocacy organization based in Chicago. She is also a participant on the Illinois Board of Higher Education and Illinois Community College Board Equity Plan Advisory Committee. She previously served as the regional representative for the National Council of Instructional Administrators, an affiliate council in the American Association of Community Colleges, and chair of the Southwest Metropolitan Higher Education Consortium Council of Chief Academic Officers in Illinois. She also was a member of the Board of Directors for Peace Village in Palos Park, Illinois.

Haney was recognized by Bowling Green State University in 俄亥俄州 as the Graduate College 校友 of the Year in 2018. She was the recipient of the 2016 John & Suanne Roueche Excellence Award from the League for Innovation in the Community College and the college’s 2016 Dr. 阿弗农. 克劳利领导奖. She is a graduate of The Thomas Lakin Institute for Mentored Leadership and League for Innovation in the Community College Executive Leadership Institute.

Haney holds a doctorate in Interpersonal Communication from Bowling Green State University in 俄亥俄州 and a master’s degree in Speech Communication and a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication—both from 诺福克 State University in 维吉尼亚州.
